The Michigan Small Bus Roadeo is an event to honor and celebrate the value of rural and community transit operators, the backbone of the Transportation industry. This exciting event draws drivers from around the State to compete for top scores on a course that tests skills on every level of the drivers’ abilities, with a primary focus on safe operations and passengers sensitivity.
This year the roadeo will be held at the Michigan State Police Test Track in Lansing on April 13, 2019. Registration, meetings for judges and drivers and the written test will be held at the Crowne Plaza Lansing West and the skills test will be held at the MSP Test Track. All participatns must report to the Crowne Plaza to register. A shuttle will be provided between the hotel and MSP Test Track.

Subject: Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) 101 Training
MDOT Office of Passenger Transportation is pleased to offer MDOT 101 Training that provides transit directors and operational staff a comprehensive overview of all transit operations that relate to MDOT. The training will be provided by MDOT’s Office of Passenger Transportation and the instructors will be Unit Supervisor Andy Brush and Project Manager Valerie Shultz, along with guest speakers. This course was first offered and well attended at Front Line Training and it was requested to expand the training to a multi-day format.
The course is a three-day (1 full day, 2 ½ day) session scheduled for April 2nd- April 4th. The first day will begin at 1 p.m. The second day will be in session from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The last day will end at 12 p.m. Each session will be held at the University Center in Gaylord. The registration form is attached.
